Mount Orab, situated in Brown County, Ohio, boasts the highest population among the villages in the area. Covering a total area of 8.89 square miles, its name likely draws inspiration from Mount Horeb, a locale mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. Brown County was founded in 1818 and Mt. Orab wasn't established until 1850. The village enjoys connectivity through the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad (CCET) traversing through its vicinity. In the past, Mount Orab was home to the Lake Drive-In movie theater, tragically destroyed by a storm in the late 1980s. Following its closure, the management humorously posted "Gone with the Wind" on the marquee, alluding to the storm. A local newspaper's publication of this marquee photo sparked rumors, suggesting a tornado had taken out the theater during a re-release screening of Gone with the Wind.
