At Mt. Orab Ford, we know that our community’s well-being is integral to our success. That’s why supporting the places where we live, work, and raise our families has always been at the heart of what we do. We’ve created the KindnessProject to unite our customers, employees, and local organizations in giving back to our community.

As we move forward with the KindnessProject, we’re thrilled to continue our major sponsorship of the EmPath For Autism foundation for the second year in a row. This year’s event, Circus Bizircus Lunar, a Party Beyond, builds on the incredible success of last year’s “Circus Bizurcus” and promises an even more spectacular experience.

The EmPath Autism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing resources to families in the Greater Cincinnati area impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Earlier this year, Mt. Orab Ford teamed up with ABC Pediatric Therapy for a Sensory Toy Drive. The event was a huge success, with our locations overflowing with carloads of sensory toys destined for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.

ABC Pediatric also offers a wealth of educational resources on autism. One particularly insightful blog post, titled “Diagnosis and Early Intervention in Autism,” is a must-read. You can explore more of their content on their blog here.

Last year, EmPath’s fundraising efforts were remarkable, bringing in $67,000 for The Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The funds are being directed towards Project Echo, an initiative aimed at bringing autism diagnosis and treatment to underserved rural communities around Cincinnati. Many families in these areas face challenges in accessing care, but Project Echo is working to change that by bringing necessary services closer to them. With the right support, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder can turn their condition into a superpower, significantly improving their quality of life.

The Mt. Orab Ford team is excited to be back for another chapter of The Kindness Project! The Kindness Project was started by Mark Williams Auto Group and the Williams family in 2018. In the past, we have bought people’s groceries, hosted toy drives, donated supplies to flood victims, and much more. Our goal with this initiative is to use our platform to help local families in need.

This chapter of the Kindness Project was a Sensory Toy Drive! The goal of our Sensory Toy Drive was to collect toys for children in need that have Autism. You may be asking, what are sensory toys? Sensory toys are toys designed to have therapeutic benefits. They intentionally stimulate a child’s sense of sight, hearing, and touch. This provides feedback to their sensory system. These toys can be extremely therapeutic to a child with Autism!

Team Work Makes The Dream Work: We teamed up with the EmPath for Autism Foundation  and ABC Pediatric Therapy to collect and distribute these toys to local families in need! EmPath is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that was created by the Williams family as a resource for children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Mark Williams Auto Group will be sponsoring their annual fundraiser, an incredible party that will take place in Covington, KY on September 21^st. This amazing event is called Circus Bizircus Lunar! The proceeds from Circus Bizircus will be donated to the Kelly O’Leary Center For Autism Spectrum Disorders  at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

ABC Pediatric Therapy was instrumental in ensuring all of our collected toys made it to worthy homes! ABC is an amazing therapy center for children, located in Western Hills, they provide high-quality pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in a child-friendly environment. Their mission is to “create the best life for all children.” All of us at Mark Williams Auto Group are proud to work hand-in-hand with both of these fantastic organizations. If you’re interested in how we worked to spread the word for our Sensory Toy Drive, check out this video! Chloe Williams and Charlie Watson sat down to discuss details on sensory toys and showed a couple examples of great sensory toy options! They also discussed the awareness around Autism that has inspired some huge retailers to dedicate segments of their businesses to making sure sensory toys are available for everyone! If you’re interested in shopping for sensory toys, you can find great options at Wal-Mart, Target, and even on Amazon!

Our Sensory Toy Drive lasted for two weeks and had collection points at all Mark Williams Auto Group locations. Once we finished our drive, the Williams family delivered all of the toys to ABC Pediatric Therapy for distribution. We are honored to say that with the help of staff, customers, friends, and family, we were able to deliver an entire SUV load of toys to be donated to children in our city!

At Mark Williams Auto Group, we do our best to support all active and retired Ford employees and enjoy spending time at our Local 863 during their monthly meetings. Mt. Orab Ford, Beechmont Ford, and Queen City Ford are all 5-star dealerships, and each location sponsors a lunch for the Local 863 every year. Mt. Orab Ford was the presenting sponsor for the March, 2024 meeting. 

We had David Godbey (Fixed Operations Director, Mark Williams Auto Group), Bob Creed III (Sales, Queen City Ford), and Charlie Watson (Marketing Director, Mark Williams Auto Group) representing our group, and supporting the retirees. They spent time catching up and exchanging stories with the retirees and other members of the Local 863. 

Charlie went on stage and shared the exciting news that our group purchased Woody Sandy Ford and renamed it Queen City Ford! He also shared retail information and incentives with the retirees to give them a glimpse of what we are seeing on the dealer level. 

We would like to thank UAW President, Tod Turner, and Retiree Chair, Jim Siuda for allowing us to sponsor this awesome event!

The Mark Williams Auto Group team was honored to help McNicholas High School surprise students last week by wheeling out a brand new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport onto the stage at their latest assembly. When the curtain opened, our very own Chloe Williams drove the vehicle out for the big reveal! Students went wild as they found out that the Bronco Sport was up for grabs in this year’s Rocket Raffle fundraiser. Raffle tickets are on sale until 2/8/2024 at 11:55 pm. Don’t miss out! They are $25 each, or five for $100, and can be bought here! All proceeds from the Rocket Raffle will go towards tuition assistance for students at the school. 

70% of students at McNich benefit from some type of tuition assistance at the school, and while you can’t put a price on a good education, every parent can breathe a sigh of relief when costs go down. The raffle is open to everyone, with anyone above the age of 18 eligible to win. If you’re feeling particularly generous, you can pledge your donation on behalf of a member of the student body, faculty, or staff. The winner will be announced at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game February 9th. You do not need to be present to win.

McNicholas is one of Cincinnati’s premier catholic private schools, with 99% of the student body going on to further their education in post-secondary and colleges. With class sizes of only 12 students to the teacher, it is a great place for individualized attention and enhanced growth.
