The added Cross-Traffic Alert system will watch behind your vehicle and alert you of potential collision objects there. This sensor is great for backing out of driveways into heavily trafficked roads or backing out of busy parking lots.
Evasive Steering Assist
This driver-assist feature has us excited for the future of vehicles. The Evasive Steering Assist will help you avoid potential impacts by providing maneuverability support. It keeps an eye on the status of the traffic around you and watches for slowed or stopped vehicles in your path.
If the sensors pick up on a stopped car, the system will alert you audibly and visually. The Assist is also smart enough to see where the stopped car is in relation to your vehicle. It will anticipate the best path to take to avoid a collision and help you in getting there.
Lane-Keeping System
This safety program uses sensors along the length of both sides of the vehicle that can detect the lines on the road. If these sensors see that you’re drifting too close to the edge of the lane, the vehicle will alert you audibly and visually.
What’s unique about this version of the Lane-Keeping System is that if it has to alert you multiple times in a single drive, a coffee icon will appear. This lets you know it’s time to take a driving break and rest up.
Active Park Assist 2.0
Parallel parking, perpendicular parking, and even reverse parallel/perpendicular parking can be mastered easily with this Assist system. All you have to do is find the desired parking spot, slow the car to a complete stop, shift your gear into neutral, and press the Active Park Assist button. You can sit back and relax as your car parks for you using sensors on all sides to detect curbs, parking lot lines, and other vehicles.
