2023 Ford F-150
The legendary pickup truck is back. For decades, the Ford F-150 truck has been the archetypal American vehicle. Powerful, rugged, and famous for its ability to drive any road, pull any load, and navigate any conditions, the 2023 model brings new life to an American legend.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Ford F-150 needs no introduction. Massive and built for power, its silhouette defines the American pickup truck. Eight models are available: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor.
The XL starts out with a steel frame, power liftgate, halogen lamps, and 17-inch silver steel wheels. Moving up the trims provides LED box lighting as well as hard, soft, or retractable box covers. They also include an aluminum gear storage box, wheels up to 20 inches, an immense choice of all-terrain tires, skid plates, and other off-road, all-terrain, and heavy-duty options. To help power your tools or toys, a 400-watt outlet provides up to 7.2 kW of power on board. Chrome and black appearance packages are also available, as well as trailer hitches and towing packages.
Engine (Power)
Base models come with the Ford 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V-6 engine, boasting 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Alternative engine packages include a fully hybrid 3.5-liter V-6 PowerBoost, a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V-8, with 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet to its name, and a 2.7- or 3.5-liter V-6 EcoBoost with up to 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque for massive power and capacity. The most powerful of them all is the 5.2-liter supercharged V-8, which boasts no less than 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
While the standard model F-150 has 4x2 drive, full 4x4 drive is available and is the F-150's greatest strength. The available drive modes, Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Rut, and Slippery, excel off-road. An electronic 10-speed automatic transmission is included for better efficiency. The fuel tanks start at 23 gallons and go up to 36 gallons to provide the fuel you need for all-day expeditions. Ground clearance starts at 8.7 inches, and some models offer 9.4 inches for additional off-road adventures. Ford also offers a highly sophisticated five-link rear suspension with a Panhard rod to maintain a comfortable ride on the hardest of paths.
Interior
The interior is comfortably outfitted with fabric seats for five. Audio and entertainment come through the 8-inch touchscreen with Ford's SYNC 4 system, compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. You'll also find a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, a convenient instrument display, power windows, keyless entry, a 12-volt power outlet, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and USB ports. Upgrades include a 12-inch screen, heated front and rear seats, a wireless charging pad, a garage opener, Sirius XM radio, a Bang & Olufsen Unleashed sound system, leather trim, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat.
Safety Features
The F-150 includes a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assistance, pre-collision assist with automatic braking assistance, roll stability control, curve control, and an anti-theft alarm. There's also an available lane-keeping system and Blind Spot Information System with optional trailer coverage.
