2022 Ford Edge
The Ford Edge is back for another model year, and 2022 brings with it some significant changes. All-wheel drive is now standard on all trims, and the infotainment system features a new 12-inch touch screen. You'll still enjoy the fuel-efficient and performance-oriented engines and plenty of space for passengers and luggage. Drivers everywhere can't stop talking about the top features of the 2022 Ford Edge.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
You can get the 2022 Ford Edge in five trims: SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST. The SE rolls down the road on 18-inch wheels with LED headlights. The SEL is similar to the SE but offers an Adventure package that adds 18-inch carbonized wheels with all-terrain tires. You get a blacked-out exterior trim and lower front and rear fascias, body-colored bumpers and lower cladding, and 20-inch gloss black wheels on the ST-Line.
The Titanium gives you a premium feel with 19-inch wheels and a hands-free liftgate. The ST gives you a sportier look with 20-inch black-painted wheels and black and body-colored exterior trim similar to the ST-Line.
Engine (Power)
The 2022 Ford Edge has two engine options. The first engine is standard on all trims, except the ST. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission will get you 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The ST comes with a more powerful engine to match the sporty feel. You get a 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 engine that delivers 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic engine.
Performance
Ford knows the importance of performance-enhancing features for drivers today. The 2022 Ford Edge comes with standard all-wheel drive to provide you with more control regardless of road or weather conditions. The ST ups the performance with a sport suspension and available ST Performance Brake package that includes larger brakes with red-painted calipers, performance pads, and improved cooling. You can also add a towing package with a Class II hitch to take the toys with on weekend adventures.
Interior
As you enter the 2022 Ford Edge, you'll notice a plethora of comfort and convenience features for drivers and passengers alike. The SE has dual-zone automatic climate control, a 12-inch infotainment touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio system, and a keyless entry with a push-button start. You get simulated leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and a nine-speaker audio system on the SEL. The ST-Line adds ActiveX faux leather seats with red accent interior stitching. Upgrade to the Titanium for leather upholstery, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo. The ST features front sports seats with silver stitching, leather, and suede-like upholstery.
Safety Features
The Ford Co-Pilot 360 system is standard on the 2022 Ford Edge. It comes with automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a lane-keeping system, and forward collision mitigation. At the SEL trim and above, you can opt for the Ford Co-Pilot 360+ Assist that adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. The Titanium also adds front parking sensors, which you can upgrade to an automated parking system with the Lux package.
