Giovanni’s pizzas are mouth-watering delicious, thick-crusted and cheesy, and their subs are made fresh with freshly baked bread, grilled meats, and quality vegetables. You also can’t go wrong with their cheesy breadsticks, baked pasta dishes, and Italian salad.
Grandma’s Pizza
Not far away at 302 West Main Street in nearby Williamsburg is another longtime favorite locally-owned pizzeria. Much like Giovanni’s here in Mt Orab, Grandma’s continues to keep the community happily fed on pizza and other Italian restaurant family favorites. We think it’s absolutely worth the 10-minute drive over.
Grandma’s is also most frequented for their extensive menu of cheesy and delicious pizzas, but we think that their menu has other options worth mentioning as well. From calzones to meatball subs to ravioli to mozzarella sticks, this is a place bound to fill everyone’s Italian craving. In case you also have a sweet tooth that needs feeding, they also have a dessert menu that’s well worth the try.
Maddy’s Pizzaria
Drive 7 miles east over to 105 Main Street in nearby Sardinia and you’ll find Maddy’s Pizzaria, another small-town classic Italian pizzeria. Their cheesy and topping-filled Midwest-style pizzas are bound to satisfy your taste buds, and we’re positive that the rest of their menu also won’t leave you disappointed.
Beyond pizza, they also offer a number of signature pasta dishes that we recommend trying, all served with fresh homemade garlic bread. You can’t go wrong with the classic spaghetti and meatballs, but you should also give their pasta italiano with grilled chicken a try. And their menu is wallet-friendly as well; a small personal pizza or pasta dish won’t cost you more than $8.
